After a rainy Saturday for the whole island, we met early on Sunday at Villa Pesquera Isabela. The remnants of yesterday’s rain system are still on the island, 😑 but we had faith that we could do some flying and celebrate two surprise parties that we had pending.
A large group of pilots and families from Team Kamikazes were present in Isabela despite the weather conditions.

Flights in the morning?…
Early in the morning the winds were between 12 to 15 mph with the sky covered with clouds. This weather was acceptable for some pilots to go flying. That was the case for Mario, Sammy, Omar, Cheo, Ian, Luis, Ben and Edgardo. Later in the morning Edgardo would fly again with winds above 20 mph+…
There were some Demo Flights pending, but they had to be postponed for a future occasion.
The Birthdays…
Although we could not flown as desired. We took the opportunity to make two surprise birthdays that were on the agenda. The birthday boys were Pablo Cruz and Mercedes Sabah. There was food and drinks, and Ivonne, Jessica and Neisha were in charge of the details. In fact, the cake that Ivonne prepared for Pablo, was simply spectacular!!!
At around noon the weather couldn’t take it anymore and it was time to return to our homes. Rains and winds affected the entire island, even a Tornado was registered in the town of Arecibo at around 2 PM.
