In all the time we’ve been flying, we can’t remember a month that has been so windy. And it is that weeks have passed where our only opportunity for flights has been sporadic and in the early hours of the morning. In fact there was a day with 30 mph winds and 36 mph gusts. However, we have managed to make some flights 🙄.
Saturday, July 16…
In the morning, Luis Ruiz managed to make a Demo flight to Carlos Torres, a native of Hatillo. This was made very early in the morning at Villa Pesquera Isabela. After this and as has happened in the past few days, activities had to end due to a lot of wind.
Sunday, July 17…
Luis Ruiz went early to the Freddy Rental flight area in BoquerĂłn, Cabo Rojo. Already at 6:30 AM Luis was ready to take off and test his new SkyMax Pulsar Paramotor. This time, being alone, he didn’t fly very far, and kept flying around.
The impressions with the new Pulsar Paramotor, were very positive and we already did a report on it…
Monday, July 18…
In the afternoon hours. Luis Ruiz arrived in the afternoon to the area of Isabela, he was accompanied by his son Noah Enrique and instead of flying and/or practicing, they took a walk to the “Poso Brujo” which is located about 3 miles from the flying area. It was a very good exercise of more than 2 hours!…
In the Dorado area, pilots Samuel Travis and Edgardo Rivera got together and flew in conditions of over 20 mph+. They were using very fast paragliders to counteract the wind and were even flying as far as the area known as Cerro Gordo in Vega Baja.
It was quite an adventure, since on the way back to Dorado they could not penetrate as they wanted and Edgardo was even forced to land.
Wednesday, July 20…
Due to vehicle problems and the high wind in the area, the activity scheduled for Isabela in the morning had to be postponed. We will try again on Friday, July 22…
