At the time we did not know that the forecasts for the weekend… eventually Storm Fiona, would become a Hurricane and pass through and over the SW of the island. This caused great damage to the entire island. No Power electricity and Water last for at least a week in the island.
This Paramotor activity was the last one before the weather system reached the island. The winds in the morning were already strong and not much could be done…
Present were Instructor Luis Ruiz, Paul Whitmore, along with his wife and the couple of James (California) and Brinn (Indonesia). They were pending of Live the Experience of Fly, but had to be cancelled 😟. Also arriving, was the student Manny Martínez, who practiced a little with the paraglider, also Edgardo Rivera who came to pick up some parts to repair his equipment. Riding bicycle was Alberto Sabah.
At about 10:30 AM we were already back to our homes as the winds gets strong to over 20 mph+…
