Nixon Porrata, former and distinguished pilot of Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico, was visiting the island. He is actually the Paramotor Pilot with the most altitude Fly in our Records, with a personal Best of 13,131 ft achieved in Machos Beach Ceiba in Saturday, June 11, 2016!!! (>>Here is the Video<<). His visit had to do with very delicate personal situations that were very difficult to bear. So, we prefer not to comment over this in the story. We can only say that as our friend, Nixon has all the support that he need through our Family of pilots.
This time we met in the Isabela flight area. Nixon arrived with his wife Nancy with the idea of flying after long months of inactivity. And what better than in the paradisaical flight conditions that Isabela in Puerto Rico offers.
Saying present on behalf of the community of Team Kamikazes pilots were Edgardo Rivera, Darwin Hernández, Alberto Sabah, Luis Ruiz, Samuel Travis, José “Cheo” Román, and Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne who stopped to say hello.
The wind was strong from the start, but that’s something we were used to. Luis gave Nixon a SkyMax Star Moster Paramotor together with a fast 22 meter Apco F1 paraglider. After a while, all the pilots flew, that included Nixon, who although he had some problems at first controlling the glider, once he did, everything went smoothly.
After noon we had to finish the activity as the winds exceeded 20 mph+. By the way, Edgardo clocked 57 mph flying downwind, surely the wind at the moment was over the 25 mph…😲

Darwin at 8,000 ft…
On Thursday 17th, while many of us were resting and/or scheduling our schedules for future flights, Darwin flew in Isabela. He found very good flight conditions and took the opportunity to take a high-altitude flight. How much? 8,000 ft, from where there was a majestic view.
