Saturday, December 10, 2022 – The Celebration of “Polola” Birthday at Hatillo and More…

This time we went to Parque del Norte in Hatillo. We had the surprise birthday of La Polola, Jessica Cruz, as well as many pilots from the Kamikazes family eager to fly and share.

Juan Carlos “”Pin Pin” Castillo

Jose Luis Hernandez

We arrived early at Parque del Norte. The first thing we found is that access to the beach area was controlled due to the still persistent tidal wave that was affecting the entire North coast. Fortunately, our flight activity and Team Kamikazes are widely accepted in the Hatillo Community and they quickly let us go through ☺️.

Mario was the first to arrive and quickly indicated that the swell had at least left a good space for us to fly and/or practice. As the “Kamikaze” pilots and their families arrived, Pablo Cruz and his wife Millie stood out. They arrived with the BBQ, along with meat and shrimp to bring it up at the Celebration.

But, Celebration? It turns out that this time we were going to celebrate the “surprise” birthday? of the Polola, Jessica Cruz. As the pilots arrived, Alberto also stood out. He arrived at the activity flying with his Paramotor from Isabela 😏. Also the presence of Pin Pin was very pleasant. He hadn’t attended the activities for several months and there he was, ready to continue his Training, despite the many challenges it entails. Also, Jose Luis, came with some drinks, but he had to work, just stop to say Hi, and share a little with the Team.

The pilots and their flights…

Sammy, Alberto, Ian, Mario, Pablo, Ted and Ricardo managed to fly at least once in low wind conditions, Luis Ruiz for his part had a knee injury and did not want to attempt his flight for fear of getting hurt. This is a very demanding takeoff, as the pilots verified, both in their takeoffs and flights, as well as in the failed attempts they had.

As for the students, there were Luis Vélez and his son Bebo giving hard to the Training. Also Pin Pin, and of course, little Noah Enrique.

Birthday and great sharing…

Pablo Cruz was in charge of the Grill, most of the time, being assisted by the ladies of the Team. Shrimp and ribs were the order of the day. But there were also hors d’oeuvres prepared by Ivonne with a Mexican touch.

Jessica‘s birthday was celebrated and once the cake was distributed, it was her turn to break the Piñata… It was a great sharing among all those present.
