The north coast has been receiving a lot of wind in the past weeks. Today was no exception, again very windy, so we decided to change the destiny of our adventures.
So, We went to do a morning flight at San Germán. Pilots present, Ted Sowinski, Luis Ruiz and Mario Muñiz. Today, in fact, Ted ends his vacation on the island, and it is time for him to return to the USA for professional commitments.
The weather, as expected, was fine, with light winds at 7 AM, this time coming from the North direction.
Mario arrived with the idea of practicing and polish his “Front Launch” takeoff attempts. And while Ted and Luis went flying, Mario did several workouts of Front Launch during the morning.
Ted, for his part, managed to take off without major problems, as did Luis Ruiz, who this time went out to fly on a trike. The flights did not last long, because in the Valley in the direction of Cabo Rojo, the weather was unstable. The wind was coming from the mountains and with the turbulence associated to them.
We had a great time as always. So ,we wish Ted a safe trip back to the US. We are already missing him for our upcoming flying adventures in the island.
