We had a flight window in the morning hours in Isabela. And it is that all these days the winds have been very strong and this morning we had to take advantage of it. It wasn’t going to last long, the wind would pick up later, so we had to hurry.
Veteran pilots, Paul Whitmore and Charles Riggs, arrived early and quickly went flying. While Luis “Bussy” Vélez and his son Bebo would come to practice and if conditions allowed, they would fly for the second time in their young career. Also present were Luis Ruiz, his sons Ian Darrell and Noah Enrique, Paola, Ian’s girlfriend, Mario his wife Ivonne, and Sammy Badillo.
Javier Rivera and his daughter Laura arrived from Camuy to Live their Flight Experiences. Ian would be in charge of their flights while Luis Ruiz would concentrate on training for Bussy, Bebo, and the new Team student, Larry La Torre, a native of Villalba. He was taking a Demo fly with Luis a few months ago and was schedule to start training today 💪.
The wind didn’t give much time for flying, But both Laura and Javier, managed to have very good flying experiences. In fact, Javier flying alongside Ian managed to see the whales that were swimming off the nearby shoreline. Definitely a unique moment!!! Ian later went flew with his girlfriend Paola, but the whales had already left…
Also flying were Sammy and Mario. While Bussy, Bebo and Larry concentrated on kite training for future flights with the assistance of Instructor Luis Ruiz.
Humacao Story…
In the East Side of Puerto Rico, specifically in Humacao, there’s a camping day from Kamikazes Pilots, Edgardo Rivera, Omar Colon and Alex Disla. They spent the Day and Night and from time to time managed to do some flights. Although the wind was so hard that at one moment destroyed a camping Tent… Even there’s was a Sunset Fly by Edgardo!
