The Plans…
Luis Ruiz and Darwin Hernandez, were schedule to Travel during the day to Dominican Republic. The plans were to fly with their paramotors in different locations there, with the company of our friends and pilots in Dominican Republic. The time for the adventure was for 6 days, with returning to Puerto Rico by October 02.
Edgardo Rivera was joining us, at least with the transportation to the airport (and then to the Ferries del Caribe area)…
Complications…
Everything was right with the Travel in the beginning. We arrived on Time to the Airport, and initially, our suitcase with equipment passed first inspections. But, in some minutes, everything goes BAD…, before we entered at the Jet Blue airplane terminal to take the Fly. They informed us that one of our suitcase was rejected and could not be in the airplane. We imagined right… the Paramotor …
Further dialogue/discussion with personal of Jet Blue ended when they told us that the decision was already made.., then, there’s no point to travel to Dominican Republic without the Paramotor, and we cancelled the fly (and successfully refunded the tickets).
Plan B…
Checking our options, we found that Ferries del Caribe, leave to Dominican Republic at 6 PM today, and they didn’t have problems with luggage. So, after some evaluation, and the push of Darwin, we decide to go for it. And at midday we were arriving to “El Muelle Panamericano” in order to get the Ferries.
God disposes…
When we were there, we checked that for Puerto Rico were a lot of rain and wind, and checking the forecast for next days, we found that a Storm located at the East of the island changed his course, and now is heading to Puerto Rico and then to Dominican Republic.
With Edgardo appointments for the afternoon, we need to decide quick about what we could do, travel to Dominican Republic no matter what?, or bring Edgardo to his home, and be wise and don’t keep pushing for a travel that now don’t looks good.
And that was our best option. (Eventually our friends in Dominican Republic told us that was the best choice because the weather was not good in the days that we were planning to be there. God Bless!!!
