And with the arrival of Mike Lisowski back to Puerto Rico, we took advantage for the Training in the next two days of good weather before conditions deteriorated…
Monday, November 06, 2023…
In excellent flying conditions, we returned to Villa Pesquera Isabela. This time there were only present the pilots Charles Riggs, Alberto Sabah, Luis Ruiz with his son Noah Enrique and Mike.
Charles went flying around as usual, and Noah was making low altitude flights from the dunes. While Luis, was working Mike‘s training. First, with ground inflation practices and later, coordinating its second flight “Ever” . This time his takeoff was better, and his landing was acceptable. We will continue to polish his skills while evaluate the details to be improved in future flights.

This time, along with Luis Ruiz and Mike Lisowski, we were accompanied by the pilots Edgardo Rivera, Alberto Sabah, Sammy Badillo and Charles Riggs, later arrived Darwin Hernández and Fio López. In the next days the weather conditions would begin to deteriorate until further notice, so we had to take advantage of the good conditions that prevailed.
Demo Flights…
Visiting us from Toa Alta were, Alberto, Alberto Luis and Suhey to Live their flight Experiences. The detail is that the weather was so excellent for flying, that there was hardly any wind to be able to take off, at least for Tandem flights, which require a pilot and passenger race coordination to be able to Take Off.
Given these conditions and considering that the two Albertos were close to 190 pounds each, the only flight opportunity was for Suhey, who weighed about 120 pounds. And that is only possible if she could run well at takeoff time. Edgardo Rivera had arrived with the task of assisting Luis Ruiz with the flights, and he even tried a couple of times with Luis Alberto, but the wind was too light to be able to do them.
Mike’s Training…
Mike, for his part, dedicated himself to ground practice with the paragliding. This time we practiced the “Front Launch” method, which he was doing very well, even with the Paramotor mounted on his back.
In fact, there was an attempt to take off, and Mike performed it with excellence, but he ran out of runway and, as agreed, he aborted it. And all these situations and weather changes make him a better student/pilot. After that, we ended the “official” activities of the Day…
But…
At sunset, when all the pilots had retired to their homes, Edgardo and Darwin remained in Isabela. After a downpour, flying conditions finally gets optimal. But there was no wind at all. The flights had to be earned with Take Off at complete cero wind conditions. They both managed to leave in those conditions and enjoyed a great flight that this time took them to the interior of Isabela, even arriving to the Isabela Mall area.
