Sunday, December 17 to Wednesday, December 20, 2023 – Bad Weather?, No Problem!!!

Rains and strong winds continued to affect the island for at least 7 consecutive days after our last activity. This gave us time to maintain the equipment and do tasks that sometimes get delayed due to our daily flights. But… Some flight windows finally appeared in the next few days, starting in…

Sunday and Monday, December 17/18, 2023 – Pico de Piedra Beach in Aguada.

Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Isabela…

We met at the afternoon in Villa Pesquera, Isabela, despite a wind intensity that was between 15 and 20 mph. Luis Ruiz met there with his son Noah Enrique, Mario Muñiz, Sammy Badillo, Jomar Crespo and Fio López.

Luis stayed on the ground helping with the ground practices of Noah and Fio.

In the meantime, Mario, Take Off with his sporty 18-meter BGD Luna 2 paraglider. And in those conditions he reached a height of 1,000 ft and went all the way to the Guajataca Tunnel in Quebradillas. When Mario returned flying to Isabela, and flying over Posa de Teodoro beach, he had unexpected problems with his spark plug of his engine. He decided to land safely at the location and the rescue team arrived there. And with that we finished our activities of flying.

During the night at home, Luis Ruiz was assembling the new version of the Paramotor, SkyMax Pulsar II. This comes now with a new bottom base and a new gas tank with better supports that increase its structural resistance.

These changes with more structural rigidity and flight autonomy to the Paramotor, makes it more attractive even for novice pilots. And, even with these modifications it continues to be the lightest Paramotor on the market. (The Pulsar I was recommended only for expert pilots).

Wednesday, December 20, 2023, Isabela, Demo Flights in better conditions…

We were all day in Villa Pesquera Isabela, where the weather conditions improved and allowed us to fly and train. Present were the pilots, Charles Riggs and his son Evan, Luis Ruiz, Fio López, Jomar Crespo, Alberto Sabah, and the member of Team Kamikazes, Gilbert Ávila, arriving from Texas.

This time, Luis Ruiz was using the Paramotor SkyMax Pulsar II. With it, he made 4 Demo Flights. The first two to Zulma Rodríguez (Ponce), whom he had to fly twice, since on the first flight, the weather gets bad and they went down as a security precaution. Some minutes later, they Take Off again to finish a proper fly.

Also were flying with Luis, Brandon and Micah who arrived with Gilbert Ávila from Texas. All enjoyed a great flying experience, and that’s all about. Thanks God always..

In the meantime, the pilots, Charles, Evan, Jomar and Alberto flew as they pleased along the coast. Gilbert, although he feel sick, resumed his inflation practices. Fio joined him, after having some trouble taking off with his Paramotor. And that is part of the progression of any pilot, gets better and better…
