We returned to La Guancha in Ponce, this time with excellent weather conditions. And even more so, with the largest Cruise Ship in the World, Icon of the Sea, still in Port.
A couple of days ago we had the opportunity to visit and live the flight experiences near the cruise ship. But on that occasion, it was only possible for skilled pilots with the correct flight equipment to fly in wind conditions above 22 mph+.
This time, the wind remained between 4 to 8 mph of intensity all day, ideal for flying. So, for the pilots who couldn’t fly La Guancha a couple of days ago, this was the opportunity. But it wasn’t just a good chance for the pilots. There were some people who took the opportunity to enjoy their flight experiences with Us in La Guancha and some of them, are part of the Icon of the Seas crew!!!

The morning adventures…
As we mentioned before, the flying conditions on this occasion were excellent. So the biggest challenge for the pilots was being able to take off in low wind conditions. Ian Darrell was the first to go flying, this time using his father Luis’s modern paraglider, the 22-meter Sky Zorro.
A little later Edgardo came out, with his 40 meter BGD Dual paraglider and the Puerto Rican flag.
And further ahead came Deron Freeman and Wilkins Torres, who a couple of days ago had not been able to fly in the place with strong winds. This time they had a very good experiences of their flights.

With the weather pleasant to fly, we were receiving people who wanted to live their Paramotor flight experiences. We took some time to interview one of the original crew members of the Icon of the Sea, he had been with the Construction project since construction began in Finland some years ago. His name is Mark Franklin from England.

As the afternoon fell we continued flying. It was nice to receive a visit from pilot Gregory Santiago from Cayey, who had not shared with us for months. And there he was demonstrating his skills. We hope to see him more often in the activities.
