Weekend from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9, 2024, refreshing and full of activity from Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico. Is amazing how the community of Paramotor pilots has grow in our 22 years+ of existence, since we were called crazy guys, to now and the future. Simply AMAZING!!!.
We started this story on Friday with some flights in Villa Pesquera Isabela, and then, we were at Anasco beach in the afternoon. Sharing with the first pilots to arrive at the “Zumba la Maruca” Fly In event. On Sunday we gets back to Isabela, with the instruction and first “solo” flight of student Enrique Guzmán. Friday, June 7, 2024…
We started in the morning in Villa Pesquera Isabela with some Demo Flights of introduction to the Sport from Luis Ruiz. The weather was very hot with NE winds of 2 to 4 mph.
Luis Ruiz was accompanied by the pilots Jomar Crespo and Darwin Hernández. Also, arriving to live their flight experiences were Ivelisse Guardiola with her two sons Andrés and Esteban. We made the flights, and here we leave some videos that best describe their adventures.
In the afternoon, we visited the Anasco Beach area, where some pilots and their respective families were beginning to arrive for the “Zumba la Maruca” Fly In event…
Saturday, June 8, 2024…
The 1st “Zumba la Maruca” Fly In event took place on Anasco Beach. Many pilots and their families being part of the event, mostly from the Team Kamikazes family spread around the island. Was a great sharing among all of us with the passion for Paramotoring and the freedom of flying. Some pilots Take Off for flying very early in the morning, from Berto’s Track. Like Darwin Hernandez that goes in a cross fly to Aguada and Aguadilla…
Unfortunately, later in the day, the weather was not good for flying as we wished since the wind was entering the beach place from the interior of the island, causing that the majority of the pilots decide not to fly. Just a few flights that were carried out but in turbulence conditions.
In the afternoon Luis Ruiz moved to Isabela Beach, where he performed a Demo Flight for Javier Reyes, a possible student of the Team. Luis was accompanied by his pilot friend Rafa Guerrero and his wife Damaris. Rafa eventually flew all the way until sunset.

Sunday, June 9, 2024…
Summer is officially starting in Puerto Rico, and as expected, it was very hot for the entire island. Some of the pilots stayed in Anasco carrying out better flights, this time with better flying conditions.
We were In Isabela, present were, the pilots Sammy Badillo, Alberto Sabah, the friend and international pilot Eliseo Nogueras and the students Miguel Orona, Efrain Guzmán and his son Enrique.
Luis Ruiz started the morning making 3 Demo flights to Star from Germany, Jesús Vélez from San Juan, Carlos Palmer who resides in Nebraska, USA, and his little son Noah Enrique.
Later in the day, Luis Ruiz was working with the school students. He was making “Towing” flights with the rope to Enrique, Efrain, Miguel and his son Noah Enrique. All of them polishing their skills.
Eventually, the winds loose intensity and Luis Ruiz decided to attempt the first “solo” flight of student Enrique Guzmán. He was ready to try for some time, and looks like the perfect opportunity for him. After the required instructions, Enrique Take Off and fly “SOLO” for the first time. Another new pilot from the Kamikazes family. Congratulations!!! His father Efrain Guzmán was very happy for his son’s feat and this is what it is about. God Bless!!!
