We had a resounding success of our TikTok video taken on Tuesday, January 02, 2024 in La Guancha in Ponce flying in Paramotor over the biggest cruise ship “Icon of the Seas” of the Royal Caribbean Company. Then, We took on the task of recording the next visit of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, once they returned to the port of La Guancha in Ponce.
This happened now, on Monday, July 08, 2024, with the arrival of the cruise ship “Utopia of the Seas”. So, during previous weeks, and with a surprise advance notification from people working with Royal Caribbean, we made plans to do it again.

The story on the Royal Caribbean Cruise “Utopia of the Seas”…
I returned to “La Guancha” in Ponce. This time, it was Monday and there was less promotion on the Cruise, so, we found very few people around “La Guancha”. Mostly just walking or doing exercises.
Just Me…
I previously arranged with the Team Kamikazes pilot, Esteban Torres, to met there, and assist me if were necessary, but he could not arrive at the agreed time. It didn’t help that the wind was strong, 15 to 18 mph in the morning and promising to get stronger as the hours passed. In other words, my time to make the flight was numbered and counting. It was pleasant to at least see the pilot Radames “Randy” Tirado arrive in the area. He was not able to stay for long, but he was pending to any eventuality. Thanks!!!
With this panorama, I took off with one of my reliable Paramotors and faithful paraglider to fly in these conditions. The Sky Zorro, 22-meters.
The Flight and a Storm is coming…
The flight didn’t last long, but I managed to at least get one flight over the Cruise. I was able to appreciate some of the activities carried out by the Cruise staff and their enjoyment of the facilities. But, once I prepared to circle around and take better videos of the Cruise, a storm cloud, (which I had monitored from a distance), was already over me. With the arrival of these clouds, the weather changed considerably. The wind intensity gets strong by the minute. From 18 mph, goes fast to over 22 mph+. It was time to land. It was remarkable to see that in less than 5 minutes on the ground, the wind was already at over 25 mph+, when I had taken off at about 15 to 18 mph…
This is the video that I was able to record over the cruise “Utopia of the Seas”. If you look in the distance, you can see when the cloud system heading towards me and my flight. But the goal was met and everything was in perfect divine order. God Bless!!!
