We decided, without much planning, to visit La Guancha in Ponce, after several months without flying in that area. Once we arrived in the morning, we found the surprise that during the weekend there was a Volkys Convention gathering in the area. This is a large number of families and friends who, during several weekends a year, take their Volkys cars out for weekend activities in different places in the island. They are well attended and many of these Volkys have their home systems with everything they need to spend the nights.
To our surprise, this meant that we could enter with our cars and equipment to the closest area of the beach where we could take off comfortably, in addition to sharing with the people who were staying in the place for the Volkys Convention.
Present from Team Kamikazes were Wilkins Torres, his wife Brenda and son Wilkins Jr., Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne, Gregory Santiago and Luis Ruiz. This time Wilkins is recovering from surgery and cannot fly for the next few weeks, and Mario and Ivonne were just having a great time sharing with us.
But, who Fly?
But those who did fly were the Instructor Luis Ruiz and Gregory Santiago, who did not fly too frequently, but when he do, he do with style. He is a former student of our school of Team Kamikazes, one of the more skilled students, and now Master and Instructor of the Sport.
Both pilots goes flying the surroundings that included La Guancha boat area, the Volkys Event, the Ponce Hilton Hotel, Cardona Island, and in the case of Gregory, he ventured to the Tuque Car Track.
