Once again we had a week of high wind,with no chance for flying. But, after a few days, we arrived on Friday where an active cold front brought us conditions of winds of 15 to 20 mph coming in from the North. This was very good for flying, and especially for the community of Free Flight pilots on the island. Where some gathered in Isabela to enjoy these conditions…
Free Flight Pilots Adventures…
The Friend and pilot Paul Whitmore has established an area in front of his house (Located at the front of the Cliff) where you can take off in a paraglider (without the motor), when the conditions are correct. This is called Free Flight, and even, for the most skilled pilots, you can also land there, at Paul‘s yard. This has encouraged the community of Free Flight pilots on the island, who increasingly come to enjoy their flight experiences throughout the Cliff of Isabela. This cliff has kilometers of distance where the pilots could go flying with the proper weather.
Today was a very good day for them, and some pilots gathered at the place. Among whom we can mention the local pilot Iván Torres, along with his former student Víctor, Darwin Hernández, Edgardo Rivera and the French pilot Yoann with his girlfriend and also pilot Agnes. The flew all the way to sunset, and as you could imagine, the good weather dissipate and everyone flying loose altitude in their flights. BUT, Edgardo Rivera was there at the rescue…

Fio Lopez and Luis Ruiz Adventure in Paramotor…
In the meantime, Luis Ruiz and Fio Lopez met at the Villa Pesquera area to do some Paramotors Flights. The first that Take Off was Fio, but he didn’t had a good time. He choose a moment for his fly that the air was too turbulent, and he didn’t last much in the air.
But when Luis Ruiz gets in the air, it was great. And we took the opportunity to make a short Video, by Fio Lopez, that will be great for future promotions of the Sports. Check this Out!!! and Thanks Fio for this excellent video!!! Mario and his wife Ivonne already arrive to the place too…
