The morning…
We started the morning with light winds coming in from the south, this was not good for flying. Fortunately the winds began to change at 9:30 AM and by 10 AM they were coming in from the North, although at low intensity. This will made takeoff difficult for the pilots.
A Rescue Search…
Luis Ruiz Take Off in his Paramotor early in the morning due to an emergency from a lady (Mariela) and some familiars that were in the area looking for her missing brother and contacted us for help. The car of the guy was parked right close to us, but he didn’t appear from last night, their family was looking for him in the area.
Luis, check the photo of the guy and explain to the relatives that he is going to fly the area and would call them in case he appear. Not much hope at the moment, the guy could be at any place, away of the beach, etc. But he start the search anyway around the coast and after some minutes, Luis FOUND HIM close to Middles Beach, seating in the area in solitary. The relatives at the moment were looking close to the area of Villa Pesquera, and Luis call them from the air, to check for a guy similar to the photo at Middles Beach. And it was him!!! Thank God, everything runs fine with him!!! Here is a short video of the area and when Luis find the guy…
The Pilots…
Pablo and Sammy managed to Take Off, along with Randy Kester from Wisconsin who managed to fly with his Paramotor already repaired from yesterday. (It turned out to be a clogged filter inside the carburetor). Here are some videos…
However, Mario faced problems in his takeoff and Ricky decided not to fly during the day.
Arriving to live the flight experiences…
Luis Ruiz was in charge of carrying out the introductory flights to the sport for Janet, Yahaira and Nicole. Each and every one of the flights was very special and here we leave some videos of their experiences.
The afternoon…
At around 2 PM, rains from the interior of the island finally reached the coasts. With this arrival, the weather changed and we ended the activity at the time. But, at the same time, the pilots Jomar Crespo, Edgardo Rivera and Darwin Hernandez arrived ready to fly. They waited for the weather to improve and went out to finally fly at 4 PM with light winds. They flew all the way until sunset to the entire coast to Jobos Beach and beyond…
