Monday, December 30, 2024…
The morning began in Villa Pesquera Isabela with some particular clouds that we had not seen in the area previously. We should not forget that we are in the middle of a storm system looking for a good flight window.
Introduction flights for the day were re scheduled for another day. However there was one flight that we could not reschedule, since our friends had arrived from Trujillo Alto, and had left their homes very early to get to Isabela. The flight was for youth David, who was celebrating his birthday accompanied by his parents, who had previously had the experience of flying.
Luis Ruiz decide to go for a “solo” fly first to test the challenge weather and from there, we will determinate if the Fly of David is possible…
Present alongside Luis Ruiz were pilots Edgardo Rivera and Wilkins “Chino” Morales, who were assisting Luis with David‘s flight.
Chino had commitments during the day, but Edgardo was later flying with Luis in 20 mph+ winds, and the biggest challenge was the gusts and instability the weather have in the air.
Tuesday, December 31, 2024…
This day will be remembered for the day of the general power BLACKOUT for the entire island of Puerto Rico. That being the case, we went flying again in Villa Pesquera Isabela. This time, although the weather conditions were a little better than yesterday, they continue to have a lot of turbulence. Pilots Fio López and Sammy Badillo came to fly alongside Luis Ruiz.
Luis Ruiz was carrying out the introduction flight to the sport for Yamuel Cubero, who was visiting the island and was repeating his flying experience. The flight took place, at the same time that Fio and Sammy also went out to fly. In the afternoon we returned to our homes to say goodbye to the year as a family.

This achievement initially belonged to Sammy Badillo, but… Edgardo Rivera had other plans and in the afternoon, he went out to fly on his Paramotor, and where???, in his hometown of Aguas Buenas, where he had always dreamed of flying and had never been able to.
