Today was a very special day of flights… I had only scheduled an introductory flight to the sport of Paramotoring in Isabela, but the testimony of our new friend changed everything. Additionally, it turns out that over the years, Luis Ruiz has been making many introductory flights to the sport, as part of his promotional and school work. Today he reached the number of 3,000 people who have flown with him to know what it feels like to fly… a quite impressive number for a career that began more than 20 years ago+…

Luis Ruiz arrived early in the morning at Villa Pesquera Isabela. Excellent weather for flying, with light winds being the norm. When Jesus arrived at the activity, the plans changed, or not?… It turns out that Jesus had told us by phone that he weighed about 178 pounds and that he had lost 50 pounds in a period of 2 years just to be able to live the experience.
What he didn’t tell us is that he also arrived with many delicate health conditions, such as prostheses in both of his knees and a pacemaker? Normally Luis would have canceled the flight, due to the physical requirements of the takeoff attempt. The person has to help Luis in the Take Off to fly and that require some strength. But the ATTITUDE shown by Jesus merited at least an attempt to take off. Luis explained all the details of what he had to do during the takeoff, flight and landing process and they decided to try it. Luis would then use a large Play 42 meter paraglider, so that everything would be smoother. We succeed in the attempt, and now, Jesus is seeing the possibilities of taking training!!! Stay tuned…

After Jesus’ flight, arrived to the area, John Burckett, a former Navy Seal from the USA. He wanted to try the sport, so, Luis coordinated his Introductory flight, which resulted in the 3,000th of his professional career as a Paramotor Instructor. There are very few pilots in the world who can talk about these numbers, which take many years to achieve. God Bless!!!

I’m am super happy that my brother Jesus Perez was able to fulfill his dream of flying. A few years ago he was in the brink of becoming a casualty of Covid but he was able to get back! Hurray 👍😘💕
